Otis introduces a dry lubricant superior to anything on the market today. It uses a special blend of ingredients that cause the Dry Lube to dry very rapidly, yet still leave a micro thin lubricant base coat. One of the Dry Lube’s best features is the ability to disperse itself and penetrate into the pores and rifling of your firearm. A little bit goes a long way, as one drop will cover over 1” of surface area. By placing 1 drop on the steel of the firearm you can literally watch the center of the drop dry before your eyes. The first 30 seconds is the most important, giving only enough time to penetrate, lubricate & displace moisture before drying. After this time what’s left is the base lubricant. This base coat is very important to the chemical makeup of our dry lubricant, giving it a flash point of over 425 degrees, and making it virtually water resistant. Cleaning your firearm with cotton patches works in the same manner whether cleaning with the precision tube. Only apply a few drops of O85 Dry Lube to each patch, whether you are using it for a swab to clean the barrels rifling or a pad to wipe down the firearms surface.
